Hump-day craving for proper char siew brought us to Char Restaurant at Jalan Besar โ€” the modern-Cantonese spot famous for, well, char siew. ๐Ÿ˜‹

We shared two dishes (plus chrysanthemum tea):

Damage: $44.75 for two. A treat-yourself mid-week meal.

Overall: 4.3 / 5. The char siew lived up to its name. The crispy garlic on top? Genius. Will be back. ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ
