After dinner walk near Golden Mile with BB and we couldn’t resist the warm bread smell coming from one of those mini baguette kiosks.
We ordered:
- Hazelnut lava baguette — 1 for $3
- Original baguette — 2 for $4 (bundle)
The hazelnut lava was the headliner. Crisp shell, soft chewy crumb, and a molten hazelnut-chocolate centre that ran out the moment you bit in. Hot enough to need a careful first bite, sweet enough to be a dessert but not cloying.
The original baguettes are the kind of snack you tear at while walking. Buttery brioche-leaning bread, lightly salted, with a faint sweetness from the dough itself. They reward eating warm, straight from the bag.
Bundle pricing — 2 for $4 — basically forces you to buy more than one. Smart play. We did the math, grabbed the deal, and walked off into the night with our hands full.
