What was in the tubs ($3 + $5):
- Hor fun ($3) — silky flat rice noodles in a thick egg gravy with sliced fish, prawn, wisps of beaten egg, choy sum stems and a hint of pepper. Classic sliced fish hor fun in clear-tinted gravy.
- KL Hokkien mee ($5) — thick yellow noodles deeply braised in dark sweet soya sauce, with bits of char siew strips, chives and pork lard bits mixed through. That signature KL black-noodle look.
Comfort hawker mix in delivery form. Both held up well — hor fun gravy still gloss, KL Hokkien mee not soggy.
Total: $8 for both.
Overall: 4.2 / 5. Hor fun gravy was light and the fish was fresh. KL Hokkien mee was the heartier pick — proper soya darkness. Reliable takeaway combo. 😍👍🏼
