Java Chip (Tall: $7.20; Venti: $8.90)!
Starbucks Singapore Java Chip Frappuccino — Tall $7.20, Venti $8.90. The original blended-coffee dessert drink that survives every menu update.
Sunday afternoon coffee run with BB at Starbucks. We were craving something cold and chocolatey, so the Java Chip Frappuccino was the obvious call.
We ordered:
- Java Chip Frappuccino (Tall) — $7.20
- Java Chip Frappuccino (Venti) — $8.90
Java Chip is the blended drink that always survives the menu refresh cycle, and that’s because it actually hits — espresso, mocha syrup, milk, chocolate chips, all blended with ice into the slushy-coffee dessert that defined the 2010s cafe experience. Topped with whipped cream and a mocha drizzle.
The Tall is the right size if you genuinely want coffee. The Venti is the right size if you’ve decided dessert and caffeine should be the same purchase. The Venti upcharge of $1.70 is one of the better value plays on the Starbucks menu — you almost double the volume for less than a 25% price increase.
Choco chips at the bottom of the cup are the underrated payoff. Spoon required for the last third of the drink because the straw stops working on them. Honestly the best part.
Pricing at $7.20–$8.90 is firmly chain-cafe-tier, but Java Chip is dessert and caffeine in one cup so we accept the math.
Overall: 4.5 / 5. 😋👍🏼 Reliable Java Chip — would always come back when the craving hits.
