Grids & Circles!
First visit to Grids & Circles for brunch: salmon ochazuke ($16+), tamago sando ($13+) and a pot of camomile tea ($6+). A two-storey Japanese-leaning cafe on South Bridge Road.
First-time visit to Grids & Circles for a Sunday brunch! The cafe has two storeys, with more seating on level 2. ๐
Grids & Circles is a Japanese-leaning specialty-coffee cafe on South Bridge Road, the kind of minimalist, two-storey shophouse spot doing a tight brunch menu with a Japanese accent.
The menu:

Quite limited choices for the Burpple Beyond 1-for-1 deal, worth checking before you go if that is the draw:

Salmon ochazuke ($16+), the Japanese comfort dish of rice with salmon, finished by pouring hot green tea (or dashi) over it, a soothing, brothy rice bowl, the more unusual order on a brunch menu.

Tamago sando ($13+), the Japanese egg sandwich, fluffy folded omelette (or egg salad) between pillowy shokupan milk bread, the cult cafe item.

Camomile tea in a pot ($6+), the calming floral tea to round out the relaxed afternoon.

The food and ambience are not bad, a calm, well-designed space with a Japanese-cafe sensibility, and we would revisit to try out other dishes.

Overall: 4 / 5. ๐๐๐ผ The salmon ochazuke and tamago sando were the standouts in a calm Japanese-leaning cafe. Would re-visit.
