A proper TGIF treat with BB, a full Korean BBQ brunch at $98.75. The kind of meal you commit to when the morning is open. ๐ฐ๐ท๐
What we had:
- Samgyeopsal (pork belly)
- Beef bulgogi
- Spicy pork bulgogi
- Banchan (kimchi, pickled radish, seasoned spinach, sprouts, anchovies)
- A bubbling jjigae (stew)
- Steamed rice
Grilling meat at the table at 11am turns a Friday into a small celebration. The samgyeopsal was the headline, thick pork belly slices crisping up on the grill, the fat rendering and the smell filling the room. The way to eat it is the lettuce wrap: a leaf, a slice of pork, a smear of ssamjang, a sliver of raw garlic, fold and pop it in.
The beef bulgogi was the sweet, savoury one, thin slices in a soy-pear glaze grilled with onion, while the spicy pork bulgogi brought that fiery gochujang heat that gets more addictive the more you eat. The banchan were the unsung heroes, six or seven little dishes refilled as we went, each one a small flavour reset, and the jjigae arrived bubbling in its stone pot to spoon over rice.
A generous, sizzling, very satisfying feast. Worth every bit of the $98.75.
Overall: 4.4 / 5. ๐๐๐ผ Smoky grilled pork belly and two bulgogis with endless banchan and a bubbling stew. Would absolutely revisit.
