McDonald’s Gula Melaka Cone dropped — $1 of local-flavoured soft serve nostalgia. Had to try. 😋
What was on offer ($1):
- A tall soft serve swirl in a beautiful caramel-beige tone — the signature gula melaka (Malay palm sugar) flavour worked into McD’s vanilla soft serve base.
- Served in the classic McDonald’s wafer cone with the red-and-white paper wrapper.
The flavour was the win — proper gula melaka caramel-coconut sweetness coming through, not just artificially flavoured. Slightly smoky, slightly toffee-like, definitely local.
Total: $1. The price of soft serve perfection.
Overall: 4 / 5. Good local-flavour limited edition, distinctly gula melaka without being overpowering. Cone-to-ice-cream ratio was on point. Will queue again before it disappears. 😍👍🏼
