双拼河粉 (duo roast hor fun) at Pearl's Centre HK Roast ($5.50)!
双拼 (duo combo) hor fun at 珍珠坊香港烧腊 Pearl's Centre HK Roast in Chinatown — flat rice noodles with sliced char siew and roast pork, blanched choy sum. $5.50.
Lunch run to 珍珠坊香港烧腊 (Pearl’s Centre HK Roast) in Chinatown — went for their 双拼河粉 (duo roast hor fun) at $5.50. Two roasts on one plate is always a yes. 😋
What was in the branded bowl ($5.50):
- A bed of silky flat hor fun (rice noodles) dressed in a light savoury sauce.
- A fan of sliced char siew (sweet roast pork) — that signature lacquered dark exterior, rosy-pink centre, slightly charred edges.
- Slices of roast pork (siu yuk) with crackling skin and a bit of fat layer — proper HK-style roast.
- A bunch of blanched choy sum for the green.
The duo combo was the right move — the sweet char siew + savoury crackling roast pork made every bite different. Hor fun was silky as it should be.
Total: $5.50. Hawker-priced HK roast plate.
Overall: 4.1 / 5. Char siew was the standout — properly caramelised. Roast pork crackling could’ve been crispier but the meat itself was tender. Reliable HK roast stall pick. 😍👍🏼
