Saturday brunch at The Kins' Specialty Coffee!
Bacon-and-scrambled-egg croissant, eggs benedict, lemon meringue tart, Basque burnt cheesecake and two latte-art coffees at The Kins' Specialty Coffee, Pasir Panjang. $59 for two.
Saturday brunch mode activated. Back at The Kins’ Specialty Coffee — that minimalist white café tucked into Bijou Condo right next to Pasir Panjang MRT — for a long, lazy meal with the BB. 😋
We went big and ordered both savoury and sweet:
- Bacon & scrambled egg croissant — flaky buttery croissant stuffed with creamy scrambled eggs, layered with thick-cut bacon and a generous sprinkle of chives. The bacon was glossy, sticky-sweet — couldn’t put it down.
- Eggs benedict — two perfectly poached eggs on muffins with bacon, sautéed spinach and a glossy blanket of hollandaise. Yolk porn, basically. 🍳
- Lemon meringue tart — tangy lemon curd in a buttery shell, crowned with little torched peaks of meringue. Cute, photogenic, and just sour enough.
- Basque burnt cheesecake — that signature scorched top, gooey custardy middle. A thick wedge, exactly how it should be.
- Cappuccino & matcha latte — both with pretty rosetta latte art. The matcha was earthy and not too sweet, the cappuccino smooth and chocolaty.
Total: $59 for the two of us. A bit of a treat for a Saturday but worth it.
Overall: 4.3 / 5. Cosy spot, generous portions, every plate photographed well. 😍👍🏼
